Family Trip Accounts
There are three "big trips" in the life of a PCS student. The 4th grade takes a 2-day trip to the Santa Cruz mountains to learn about early settlers in California; the 6th grade goes to Science Camp at Hume Lake; and the 8th grade goes on a week-long trip to Washington DC, visiting important places in our history such as Mt. Vernon, Monticello, Williamsburg and Gettysburg.
We have established Family Trip Accounts to help families prepare for these expenses. Funds can be deposited directly from personal funds, or families can participate in school-related fundraisers. Fundraisers and events are organized quite often. Bake sales, Treats for Trips, and raffles are other examples.
Funds generated from School-related efforts are tracked separately from personal fund deposits. Funds not used prior to your student "graduating" from PCS will roll over to the general fund.
